Mission

Our Mission is to promote sound environmental stewardship & enhance community life through participation in collaborative nature & art experiences.

Vision

Our Vision is to create a future where our community knows how to appreciate and respect nature through exploration of art and the environment. We will pursue this vision by following these goals:

Foster respect for all living non-living things

Promote environmental stewardship

Encourage exploration of interrelationships between a quality environment, cultural art awareness, quality of life

Create hands-on opportunities to explore natural wonders

Facilitate development of environmentally-focused arts

We are establishing Trumbull Nature and Arts Center at the former Wagner Tree Farm. The spacious former home will be enhanced to make space for a wide range activities including but not limited to:

Nature Hikes and observations such as birdwatching

Learning about plants and animals with emphasis on Connecticut and Trumbull native species

Arts and Crafts projects such as making a flower press

Horticultural projects such as growing sunflowers for a contest/exhibition

Art instruction and art exhibits in all media with many opportunities to focus on nature as a subject

Gardening opportunities for local clubs

Nature conservation and science classes

Lecture series for teens and adults

Local field trip destination for Trumbull schools
